BHS Band finalizes Instrument Drive for Hurricane Katrina Victims

Over 120 instruments and supplies were sent to The St. Tammany Public Schools in Covington Louisiana. It is now almost a year and a half after the devastating destruction of hurricane Katrina, yet the schools affected schools are still trying to recover. The students there are very excited about receiving equipment that will allow them to continue their music education. All of use here in Beavercreek are just glad that we could help in some small way.

Thanks to all who donated instruments, supplies, or money.

A special thanks to the Mr. Scott Snyder and the repair staff at Buddy Rogers Music for helping get all the instruments in great shape. Thanks to Greg Baker of Baker Associates for arranging shipping of all the equipment. Thanks to all the Beavercreek Band Students, Parents, and Alumni that helped.

Please check our web site www.beavercreekband.org as we will be updating information including pictures of students receiving the instruments in Louisiana.
